F&F and TGIF (1)

Q: What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?

I don't really know... I randomly found WORD for Teens when I started blogging for myself, and I kinda just decided I wanted to do it, too. So I started. And that was that.

What are some of the most swoon-worthy quotes you've experienced in a book?

"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind." - A Midsummer Night's Dream
"There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment." - The Truth about Forever
"Love is needing someone. Love is putting up with someone's bad qualities because they somehow complete you." -  This Lullaby
"In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." - Pride and Prejudice
"Reader, I married him." - Jane Eyre

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen

Title: This Lullaby
Author: Sarah Dessen
Series? none
Aquired From: School Library
Summary: Remy has 'the speech' down pat. You know, the speech you give the boyfriend when it's getting too serious. She's done it enough times and her mom is on husband number five. So why is it that she can't give Dexter, the tacky and quirky musician, the speech she knows by heart? He's messy and disorganized, and let's not even start with the name. Not to mention that he's a musician, just like her dad, a man that Remy never knew because he left before she was born. Could it be that the rules that Remy has religiously followed for all of her life don't apply to her any more?
Cover Rating: 5/5
Comments on the Cover: Cute cute cute cute cover. It works so well. Remy has a firm grip on her heart and controls it, like a piece of paper.
Character Comments: One word: Dexter is the best Sarah Dessen male. This was the second time I've read this book, but I think it only made me love Dexter even more. Remy was good too, a little too pessimistic at times, but all in all a good character.
Favorite Character: Dexter
Character Rating: 5/5
Plot line rating: 4/5
Plot Line Comments: It's Sarah Dessen. It's cliche. But I love it anyway.
Likeliness to reread it? 5/5
Overall rating: 4.75/5
Books like this that I have reviewed: Along for the Ride, The Lonely Hearts Club
